Elvis’ former dentist has announced that he will be selling a model of Presley’s teeth later this month.
Henry Weiss made a model and a crown for The King when he was alive; both will go under the hammer on 25 February in Stockport under the watchful eye of Omega Auctions.
It was back in 1971 when Dr Weiss created the porcelain crown for Elvis after he had cracked a tooth during a Las Vegas – supposedly hitting it on a microphone.
Expects have predicted that the gnashers could sell for as much as £19,000.
If you think selling an Elvis tooth is odd; how about the medical implements which doctors used when they performed the dead King’s autopsy. No? A Chicago auction featured
forceps, aneurysm hooks and even a toe tag that had been used to identify Presley after he died. They were expected to fetch around £9,300 but were withdrawn in the last minute.
