Professional teeth whitening in Manchester. Two trusted home-whitening systems that deliver safe, dramatic results without the sensitivity of in-chair lasers: a standard tray-based system from £395, or premium Enlighten whitening from £650.
Whitening is one of the simplest cosmetic treatments available. The science is well established. The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide, which gently breaks down the stain molecules locked inside your enamel. Done correctly, it brightens your natural teeth without damaging them.
The difference between professional whitening and a chemist's strip kit comes down to two things: stronger gel (only available through a dentist), and custom trays moulded to your exact teeth so the gel sits where it should and nowhere else. That's why the results are dramatically better and the sensitivity is dramatically lower.
What whitening won't do
Whitening only changes the colour of natural tooth enamel. Existing crowns, veneers, bonding and fillings won't change colour. If you've already had cosmetic work done, your natural teeth may end up brighter than the existing work. We'll talk through whether whitening makes sense for you at your consultation.
The main side effect to be aware of is sensitivity. It's usually mild and short-lived, and we provide desensitising gel to use alongside the whitening for anyone prone to it.
Both patients used custom home whitening trays. No retouching, no in-chair sessions.
There are three main routes to whiter teeth: home whitening trays (custom-made by a dentist), in-chair systems like Zoom (a one-hour appointment where a high-strength gel is activated by a UV light), and over-the-counter strips. We've tried all of them with our patients over the years and consistently come back to the same answer.
Custom-fitted home trays deliver the best long-term results with the least sensitivity. The gel concentration is professional-grade, the trays sit perfectly against your teeth, and you control how often and how long you whiten for. In-chair systems can give a fast result in a single session, but the trade-off is more sensitivity and the brightness tends to fade faster.
Standard home whitening is the right choice when you want a clear, noticeable improvement on natural teeth that already look healthy.
Enlighten is the right choice when you want the brightest possible result, or when whitening is the first step before veneers or bonding.
Two short clinic visits, then the rest is in your hands at home. Total elapsed time: usually two to three weeks.
Your dentist checks for decay or gum disease (whitening shouldn't be done over either) and takes a digital scan of your teeth. The scan is sent to our lab to make your custom trays. About 30 minutes in the chair.
Your trays arrive about a week later. We hand them over with a set of professional whitening syringes and show you exactly how to apply the gel into the trays. Five minutes, then you're set up to whiten at home.
Wear the trays for one to two hours during the day, or overnight if you prefer. Most patients reach their target shade in two to three weeks. Once you're happy, you stop. Top up at home any time you notice a slight dulling using a fresh syringe of gel.
Many patients combine whitening with composite bonding for a complete smile transformation. The order matters. Whitening first creates the brightest possible canvas. Then composite bonding is matched to your new shade for a seamless, natural-looking result.
This combination is one of the most effective and affordable smile makeovers we offer. For patients who want bonded improvements (closing gaps, reshaping chips, evening out edges) it's almost always the right approach. Whiter teeth that have been bonded look better than bonded teeth that get whitened later, because composite resin doesn't whiten the way natural enamel does.

"Whitening is safe, effective, and one of the simplest ways to brighten a smile, with no harm to your teeth when it's done properly. Great results come down to three things: accurately fitted trays, a good whitening gel, and wearing them consistently for around three weeks. We provide the first two and help you with the third."

"10/10 experience with everyone at 360 dental! Every single staff member I dealt with from my very first consultation to walking out with a brand new top tier smile were all absolutely lovely. The ladies on reception, the dental nurses, Jay the treatment coordinator, Jayme who transformed my smile, they all genuinly care about their patients and delivering top quality service. Just lovely people. And that makes a huge difference to your experience with any service, but not only that, everyone was SO professional and knowledgeable and could answer any question or concern I had there and then, whether that be in person, over email or over the phone, there was never any doubt I wasn't in good hands.
Jayme did my treatment, I had whitening, composite bonding and bite widening, and I am over the moon with the results. He's just a really lovely professional guy, explained everything super well, was very calming and made me feel so at ease, and my god he is talented! A literal artist. My teeth look absolutely mega, way better than I imagined, my biggest priority was to keep them looking natural and not bulky which I had seen before with bonding, and Jayme absolutely delivered, they just look like my teeth but way better.
Could not be happier with my smile makeover! Also have to shout about the fact Jayme did a 'trial smile' which is why 360 dental are unmatched, he literally did a mock up on my real teeth so I could literally see what they would look like, not just a computerised mock up but on my actual teeth, I mean what a fabulous idea that is! I would reccomend them to anyone and I will absolutely be going back for regular cleaning appointments from now on.
Thank you Jayme and everyone at the practice!!! 🥰"
"I completed my treatment with 360 dental earlier in the year. I had a fixed ceramic brace on my upper teeth and a fixed metal brace on my lower teeth.
Once my brace was removed whitening began which I did at home. I then had composite (cosmetic) bonding to build up 2 upper teeth as they were short in length and didn't match the teeth on the opposite side of my mouth. This was due to the removal of an upper tooth many years ago by another dentist. The composite bonding was painless and quick.
Jayme really is a perfectionist which is what you want in a dentist, particularly when it comes to cosmetic work. The team are lovely too, very friendly and make you feel immediately at ease.
My smile is now perfect, I look back at pre-treatment photographs and wish I'd done it so much sooner. It sounds cheesy but I really do feel confident when I smile. I'd highly recommend Jayme and the team to anyone."
"I have just completed my treatment with 360 Dental Care, and could not be happier! I had a fixed brace on my upper teeth (attached to the back of my teeth, so more or less undetectable), followed by clear retainers and a thin bonded strip to keep everything in place. To top everything off, they were whitened using a home whitening kit, and I had a little bonding composite added to the tips to repair all the damage done by grinding.
The 360 team are all really friendly and approachable, which is great if you're a nervous patient. I would absolutely recommend them to all friends and family, and will return there myself if I need any more treatment in the future. Really happy with the result, thanks guys!"
"I had composite bonding done on 3 of my teeth after they'd become misaligned after having my brace removed. Also had Boutique whitening treatment and a thorough scale and polish. My teeth look fabulous now and I feel much more confident. Jayme is a very charismatic person and knowledgable dentist. The other staff are lovely too. Highly recommended."

Yes. Professional whitening supervised by a dentist is completely safe. We use dental-grade hydrogen peroxide at concentrations proven to be effective without damaging tooth enamel. Some patients experience temporary sensitivity, which usually resolves within a day or two of stopping treatment.
Results typically last one to three years depending on your diet and habits (coffee, red wine, smoking, etc.). With your custom trays you can easily top up at home whenever you notice your teeth dulling. A fresh syringe of gel gives you another full top-up cycle.
Home whitening causes significantly less sensitivity than in-chair systems because you control how often and how long you whiten for. If you do experience sensitivity, simply skip a day. Most patients find it very manageable. We can also prescribe a desensitising gel for the trays if needed.
Zoom is a popular in-chair whitening system: a one-hour dental appointment where high-strength gel is applied to your teeth and activated by a UV light. The appeal is that you walk out brighter the same day. The trade-offs are real: in-chair systems often cause significantly more sensitivity than home whitening, and the results can fade more quickly without follow-up at home. Custom-tray home whitening produces equivalent or better long-term results with much less discomfort, and is far more affordable to maintain.
For most patients, standard home whitening produces a result that genuinely looks great. Choose Enlighten if your teeth are heavily stained, if you want to push for the brightest result your teeth can reach, or if you're whitening before veneers or composite bonding (where the final shade matters for matching). Your dentist will recommend which is right at your assessment.
No. Whitening only works on natural tooth enamel. Fillings, crowns, veneers, and bonding don't whiten. This is why we recommend having any planned cosmetic work (especially bonding or veneers) done after whitening, so the new work can be matched to your final, brighter shade.
You can, but the existing crowns or veneers won't change colour. The result is that your natural teeth become brighter than the existing work, which may look uneven. We'd usually advise against whitening in this situation, or recommend replacing the older work afterwards. We'll talk through the options at your consultation.
It depends on your starting shade and your enamel. Standard whitening typically delivers four to eight shades of improvement. Enlighten is designed to push for the lightest result your teeth can reach. We can never guarantee a specific shade because every patient's enamel responds differently, and we'd never recommend going beyond what looks natural for your face.
We're based on Southern Street in central Manchester (M3 4NJ), three minutes from Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop and Deansgate rail station. Patients travel in for professional teeth whitening from across Manchester, Salford, Trafford, Stockport, Altrincham, and the wider Cheshire commuter belt. Whitening only requires two visits, fitting the trays and a brief follow-up, so it's manageable even from further afield.
